Infection prevention and control training

ACT on HCAI programme objectives

• Raise organisational awareness of The Health and Social Care Act 2008.
• Build and enhance baseline infection control knowledge.
• Create individual accountability for preventing HCAIs.
• Generate a shared momentum for tackling HCAI together.
• Motivate participants to cascade information to their teams.
• Inspire participants to engage in follow-up activities and further development.

Up to 3 days plus ½ day review
for clinical leaders and specialists

Induction and update sessions for clinical staff

1 day development workshops for key workers

Infection control update as a pub quiz for support staff

Infection control development workshop for trainers

Targeted training workshops for
clinical and infection control practitioners, with further self-directed learning opportunities

1 day + 1 day follow-up for infection control link practitioners on their role and how to work together as a network and resource
